Tiffany Buchs serves as a Senior Vice President within the Access division of AmWINS Group, a leading wholesale distributor in the property and casualty insurance sector. Located in Ohio, her team played an instrumental role in establishing AmWINS’ Columbus office in 2018. She is actively engaged in industry outreach, including speaking engagements to educate emerging professionals about the surplus lines market—such as her presentation to Gamma Iota Sigma students on the structure and opportunities within the wholesale and specialty insurance space.

Michelle L. Shaver serves as senior vice president, commercial lines – small business at Encova Insurance, where she leads the small business division, overseeing strategic direction, underwriting, operations and team development. She brings over two decades of diverse insurance industry experience with a strong track record in growth, innovation and leadership.
Prior to joining Encova, Michelle was a senior vice president at Chubb for 10 years. During her tenure she founded and led a start-up division focused on small business property and casualty insurance, scaling the operation to over $300 million in written premium. Her earlier career includes significant leadership roles in product development, underwriting, sales, marketing and operations at leading carriers such as Farmers Insurance, Travelers and Westfield Insurance.
Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and an MBA with a concentration in risk management and insurance from Georgia State University. She has pursued additional academic studies at Northcentral University and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations.
Actively engaged in the professional community, Michelle is a member of the CPCU Society and the International Association of Insurance Professionals. She has served on the board of the Windstorm Insurance Network and International Business Consultants LLC. Committed to service, Michelle volunteers with Roswell Assembly and She Is Safe, supporting causes that empower women and communities.
