CISR Other Personal Lines Solutions - December Virtual Webinar

This course examines coverage exclusions and limitations in the most current ISO Homeowners 3 – Special Form and the ISO Personal Auto Policy.

Learn to address exposures created by business activities, the ownership or use of recreational vehicles and watercraft, and the need for additional coverage through Personal Umbrella Liability and Catastrophe Coverage.

Topics:

• Business Activities of Personal Lines Clients – Unique exposures to in-home businesses, types of loss, risk management considerations, and methods of insuring exposures.
• Recreational Lines – Identify exposures faced by personal lines clients with recreational vehicles and watercraft.
• Personal Umbrella/Excess Liability – Understand Personal Umbrella Liability/Excess Liability Coverage concepts and identify and compare policy differences.
• Personal Lines Catastrophe Coverage – Coverage solutions and risk mitigation methods or resources available to personal lines consumers for catastrophic perils.
• Personal Lines Emerging Risks – Basics of how emerging risks develop, risk management process essentials, and how to apply the risk management process to an emerging risk.

7:30 - 7:55 a.m. - Log in to the webinar early  

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Webinar class in session with scheduled breaks 

12:00 - 12:45 p.m. - Lunch Break (you may remain logged in during lunch) 

12:45 - 4:00 p.m. - Webinar class in session with scheduled breaks * 

4:00 - 4:30 p.m. - Q&A session for individuals earning the designation. 

4:30 p.m. - Webinar concludes 

 * If you are not earning the designation and are attending only for CE and/or designation update credit, you may leave the webinar when the outline discussion concludes at 3:45 p.m. 

 This next part is the most important part…

 How will they know I was there and give me credit? 

To qualify for your update and state CE, you must answer the random attendance checks (3 per hour!). If you miss a poll, you MUST send a message using the chat saying what number poll you missed and why. An exception for a missed poll is not guaranteed, however we understand technical issues can happen so this is why it’s very important you immediately send a message in the chat to ensure you get CE!

Course Materials 

Course materials can be found under the 'Handouts' tab in your Dashboard. You can print the materials or download them to an e-reader or laptop for reference during the webinar.

If you are taking the test to earn your CISR or CISR ELITE designation, you will be emailed exam instructions and a link to access the exam electronically following the course.  

Do I have to do anything to make sure my CE gets filed? 

 If the course is not showing in your profile before the course, don’t panic! We request CE for everyone that is licensed, but requesting it through your account gives it an extra layer of protection in making sure there are no issues! If the course is showing up, below are the steps to request CE.

To request CE credit for this course, go to www.scic.com and follow these steps.  Note that the course will not be showing in your course history until the day prior to the webinar. 

1. Click on Sign In and enter your username and password. 

2. Once logged in, click on Course History. 

3. Find the appropriate course. 

4. Click on Modify CE in the right column. 

5. Complete the CE selection.
