Insurance professionals rely upon these two defenses when faced with an E&O claim – (1) invariable practice, and (2) documentation. Understanding the need to document, what is meant by “good documentation” and the advantage of using disclaimer language are just some of the key points explored in this module.

Risk assessment questionnaires and coverage checklists can play an important role in providing another layer of defense for an agency against some of the more common E&O allegations.

The operations of insurance agencies can vary based on size, representation, and geographic location. Over time agencies have had to adapt their operations because of changes in carrier capabilities and workflows, the implementation of tools like upload/download, and competitive raters. This unit will explore areas in the agency’s daily operations that may open the agency up to an E&O loss.

Qualifies for E&O discount!  Please note that if you are outside of Ohio, this course does not provide CE credit.
