Insurance Fall Marketplace Update

Chief Executive Officer for Ohio Insurance Agents Association (OIA), a statewide association that is the leading advocate for insurance consumers, independent agents, IA carriers and a competitive insurance marketplace. OIA represents 1,400 independent insurance agencies and 12,000 insurance agents who are responsible for fulfilling 82 percent of the commercial insurance and 44 percent of the personal insurance and risk management needs of Ohio's businesses and citizens.

Insurance professional with experience in program business and alternative distribution of insurance and risk financing approaches such as captive insurers, protected cell companies and risk retention groups. Chronologically, I have been a PC agent, formally studied insurance, finance and risk management, worked as a risk management consultant for 12 years and spent 20 years leading the largest independent agent association product operations at the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, Inc. (aka "the Big I").

As of January 1, 2020, I assisted in transition to new leadership of the Big I products operation (Big I Advantage) and I continue as advisor. My fulltime endeavor as of January 1, 2021 has become R.I.S.C.
